  HEY OLD MAN
by my dad, Tony Di Bartolo, in Trapper's Memory

Hey old man, God cried for you today
Your life's at end and for this we'll pay

Forever more the empty place will be
Never to be filled for Debbie or me

You were her protector for all the years
Thoughts of you and memories may replace the tears

But for now it's naught but pain and strife
Without you old man, here in our life

Run free old man, Farrah's waiting for you.

Goodbye Trapper

Note: Debbie's Trapper (Good Time Sound of Music GCG/TDI) was put to sleep today. His heart was just too big for his chest and was failing rapidly. He would become so weak after the simple act of getting in the car that he could not stand up. He was Debbie's boy for almost 14 years. Even with failing eyesight and deafness, both age related, life was still great for him. It was only when we could no longer control his congestive heart failure with medication that this most difficult and abhorrent decision was made. This was the last way we could show him our love. Trapper's best buddy and surrogate mom, Farrah (Seneca Foreign Affair) was waiting at the Bridge for the Trapper Man. She passed the bridge six years ago. Run free young puppy dogs.

  TRAPPER'S SPRING
by my dad, Tony Di Bartolo, in Trapper's Memory

You rode up country one last time
Got lost by the barn, but you were fine

Couldn't see very well and sure couldn't hear
But that didn't lessen our love, we held you dear

Now you're at the bridge, with old and new friends
Playing chase me chase you, your Spring never ends

You so loved the applause and the cheers of the crowd
Dignity graced your passing; your head was unbowed

Spring Seduces
Summer Thrills
Fall Reduces
Winter Kills
